(updated description)
Thunderbird menu item translations were lost in the gutsy version. Now they're there, but missing some languages, translations for which have been offered in this and other bugs.

Additionally, there have been no Finnish translations previously, and it'd be nice to add these there (I'm the team leader of Ubuntu Finnish translators):

Hi... sorry to disturb you again, but could you also add the listed Finnish translations in the desktop file, they are still missing?

I'm still having translation problem in Thunderbird with Gutsy full updated. The Italian translation doesn't work. This packages are installed:

Attached is a thunderbird.desktop based on 2.0.0.6-0ubuntu1 with Finnish added.

Marco: Thunderbird didn't have Italian Name translation in Feisty either, only Comment. I guess you could write the proposed Name[it] here.

Ok, as per request searched for other related bugs. Found Swedish and added:
Name[sv]=E-postklienten Thunderbird
Comment[sv]=Läs och skriv e-post
from bug 107689.
