Looks like Kent's patch (attachment 8805031) is the base upon every one agrees. Then we have to improved versions. Gene does a lot of testing, see comment #147 (!!) and even Axel agreed that it might be the way forward (comment #150). Maybe you can work out what the "two dialogue" problem is and move it to a new bug/patch.
