Bug Description

This morning I updated to the latest version of Thunderbird.

I use Lightning 1.8 with Provider for Google Calendar 0.18pre to synch my agenda with Google.

Since that update, Thunderbird completely freezes shortly after starting.

I can restart without the extensions, and then turn on the extensions. With Lightning alone, all works well, but as soon as I re-activate Provider for Google Calendar 0.18pre, it freezes again.

Me, too. Thunderbird 31.2.0, Lightning 3.3.1, Provider for Google Calendar 1.0.2. Unless I disable Provider for Google Calender, Thunderbird hangs on start-up and seems to never recover.

I use a fair number of google calendars - around 6 or so, and have quite a bit of history in them. I don't know if this affects the problem or not.

Hello Simon,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with Thunderbird.

You made this bug report in 2012 and there have been several versions of Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket?
Or, if it is still a problem, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect BUGNUMBER

and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu and Thunderbird better.

G
