Bug Description

clicking on a link in my browser to "mailto:<email address hidden>,<email address hidden>,<email address hidden>&subject=a test subject&body=some test body"

results in an email window with no subject or body, but the following recipients:
<email address hidden>
<email address hidden>
<email address hidden>&subject=a test subject&body=some test body

(first 2 are correct, last one has an extra " before the @, and the &subject=xxx&body=yyy)

can reproduce this by executing at the commandline as well:
$ thunderbird "mailto:<email address hidden>,<email address hidden>,<email address hidden>&subject=a test subject&body=some test body"

Hi,

I've had the same problem myself. The link you are using is actually of wrong format. Refer here for reference: http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2368

The first mailto: parameter have to be separate by "?" sign, not the ampersand, so this would work:

mailto:<email address hidden>,<email address hidden>,<email address hidden>?subject=a test subject&body=some test body

BR,
Ivan

Hello Joe,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem regarding mail-to links and Thunderbird.

You made this bug report in 2012 and there have been several versions of Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket?
Or, if it is still a problem, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect BUGNUMBER

and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu and Thunderbird better.

G
