Bug Description

Mail arrives in English with some Hebrew (or Israeli originated but in English) embedded in the mail. I write a reply and Thunderbird creates a multi-part mail with text and HTML parts.

Outlook uses the HTML part to display the message and all of the reply I send out is sent right-justified. Message source contains the font definitions as text-align:right as below, this is the only thing I can find as -right-justified-. What I quote usually comes out as normal, left-justified. Only mails which involves people from Israel, not all messages contain Hebrew characters but definitely was sent from Israel.

p.MsoListParagraph, li.MsoListParagraph, div.MsoListParagraph
 {mso-style-priority:34;
 margin-top:0cm;
 margin-right:36.0pt;
 margin-bottom:0cm;
 margin-left:0cm;
 margin-bottom:.0001pt;
 text-align:right;
 direction:rtl;
 unicode-bidi:embed;
 font-size:11.0pt;
 font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif";}

Even if I select all mail and click on the left-justify mail, the output comes as right justified. Thunderbirds displays them correctly.

Hello M1fcj,
Thank you for submitting this bug and reporting a problem with Thunderbird.

You made this bug report in 2012 and there have been several versions of Ubuntu and Thunderbird since then.

Could you confirm that this is no longer a problem and that we can close the ticket?
Or, if it is still a problem, could you run the following (only once):
apport-collect BUGNUMBER

and upload the updated logs and and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

Thank you again for helping make Ubuntu and Thunderbird better.

G
