Bug Description

bug for thunar 1.2.3 ubuntu precise testing on amd64

after a general protection fault thunar changed the default behavior of drag n drop when moving files in the directory tree from moving files to copying these files.

so usually drag n drop moves the files.

then it crashed at some point. (which it does quite frequently. whenever files changed in another window or some filesystem was mounted in the meantime and it fails to access the new directories and so on.. well, that are plenty other issues..)

so afterwards i just started up another thunar window and now every drag n drop leads to a copy of these files.

thunar moves the files slowly then. it totally neglects the fact that the files are just being moved from one folder to the next folder on the same filesystem. it shows a slow 'moving files' progress bar. so moving itself also does not work properly since moving the same files from a terminal happens to finish in 0.0someting seconds and thunar needs 40 seconds now.

well, now it's fast again. what's going on? i don't know what thunar is doing there. maybe file caching speeds up whatever thunar did the slow way.

Hi,

Thanks for your bug report.
Have you been able to reproduce that again?
