Bug Description

Binary package hint: thoggen

I'm trying to rip an iso of a video-dvd. Neither am I able to rip the iso file directly nor by mounting the iso and selecting the folder.

Output when trying via the mounted is- folder:

 :: GStreamer core version: 0.10.12.0
 :: System: Linux glyde 2.6.20-15-generic #2 SMP Sun Apr 15 07:36:31 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux
 :: active drive now: 0x83d1f60
 :: active drive now: 0x84ae400
 :: DVDDiscID (/media/DVD.iso/video_ts) failed.

** (thoggen:9678): WARNING **: DVDDiscID (/media/DVD.iso/video_ts) failed.

 :: file th-title-selector.c: line 965 (ts_title_cell_data_func): should not be reached

Output when opening iso directly:

registering static thoggen plugins
 :: GStreamer core version: 0.10.12.0

What can I do to debug this? The title list states: "Failed to retrieve DVD title details for some reason. Maybe you do not have libdvdcss2 installed?" But I'm able to play DVDs so this shouldn't be the problem.

Thanks a lot for your hard work on Thoggen!

Cheers,

André

The output you attached - that's the exact same DVD as the .iso file, just as actual disk in the drive?

How did you create the .iso image?

Thank you for your quick reply Tim.

Yeah, it's the same DVD. I created the image by:
 1. right click on the mounted DVD icon on the desktop
 2. Choosing "Copy Disk..."
 3. Selecting "Copy disk to: File image"

Thanks,
André
