pam-thinkfinger-enable script breaks pam.d/common-auth

Bug Description

When running sudo /usr/lib/pam-thinkfinger/pam-thinkfinger-enable to enable the thinkfinger pam module, the script corrupts the /etc/pam.d/common-auth file to the point that its not possible to log in to the machine again, necessitating a rescue-mode manual fix or a reinstallation.

After running the sciprt, the common-auth file is truncated so that only the line for pam_unix.so and the lines above it remain. Also the pam_thinkfinger.so module is not actually enabled.

I'm using libpam-thinkfinger version r118-0ubuntu3 from Interpid.
