Bug Description
This bug has been noticed due to bug #1494546 [1] occurring on a ThinkPad X1 with Ubuntu Xenial. I have installed the thinkfan package from the official Ubuntu Xenial repositories. APT package manager clearly shows:
$ apt-cache policy thinkfan
thinkfan:
Installed: 0.9.2-1
Candidate: 0.9.2-1
Version table:
*** 0.9.2-1 500
500 http://
100 /var/lib/
However, the buggy binary differs:
$ thinkfan -h
thinkfan 0.9.1: A minimalist fan control program
