editor does not display <ctrl>L

Bug Description

If I open a text file containing a <ctrl>L character (^L, form feed), the editor of texmaker does not display this character. Of course, this character affects the latex results. It was difficult for me to find the reason for the unexpected results, when it is not displayed in the editor.
