Function keys F1-F11 are not working in ubuntu's package, but work in author's package

Bug Description
Functions Keys, such as F1 (for quick build) or F11 (for bibtex) do not work in the texmaker 4.4.1-1 installed ubuntu package: simply nothing happens. The appropriate functions only work, when selected in menu or via mouse (button-bar).
However, these keys work in the ubuntu package build by the texmaker authors - downloadable from http://
my setup: ubuntu 15.04, 64bit

Can't reproduce. Feel free to reopen if you can reproduce with version 5.0.2.
