texmacs with maple 10 does not work

Binary package hint: texmacs

I use Maple 10 but TeXmacs cannot use it. On Insert -> Session -> Maple the texmacs.bin process freezes.

The first problem that the tm_maple script in /usr/lib/texmacs/TeXmacs/bin relies on realpath which is not a dependency for TeXmacs (but it ought to be one, or the version included in the same directory should be used or found).

The second one that the system does not find the Makefile.9 file after I install realpath and I try to run tm_maple by hand. However, this file is placed in /usr/share/texmacs/TeXmacs/plugins/maple.

I think some source files would be needed to go further from here. So I try to install the latest TeXmacs from source. :-(

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 beta or later?

Hi, I don't know. I decided not to use Maple again. It exports 0 size .tex
files or shrinks the .tex output at 4k, 8k, 16k or 32k... Cannot be used in
a production environment. :-(
