Conflict between listings and listings-ext in Texlive packages

Bug Description

texlive-latex-recommended installs listings package, while texlive-extra-utils installs listings-ext package which should supersede listings but does not do so, resulting in errors when attempting to use styles from listings-ext. Can be fixed by manually editing listings.cfg as supplied by listings package to include the additional styles offered by listings-ext.

Using Ubuntu 11.10, package versions 2009-10ubuntu1 (both cases)
