Bug Description

Binary package hint: texinfo

after upgradation to ubuntu 11.04 it is not possible to install anything either from synaptic package manager or even Ubuntu Software Center . Had this error shown while the upgradation was going on which said would face similar problems when the installation of 11.04 was going on ! so now just installation was going on

WHAT WAS EXPECTED >> wanted a no problem install like in 10.10 and a no issues .
just as asked the password and seen ok after it now it downloads everything and no installlation happens

You seem to have a syntax error in your /etc/environment file at line 2: CLASSPATH: command not found

It should read something like this:
  CLASSPATH="/path/to/your/java/libs/:."

You'll need to manually resolve this issue.

Thank you for your bug report. It appears your file /etc/environment has a syntax error (in line 2):
/etc/environment: line 2: CLASSPATH: command not found
This is something that you have to fix manually. I'm marking the bug as invalid as this is not a bug in texinfo.
