package tex-common 2.09 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

persistently failing to update 2.09 since april 2011. after natty upgrade yesterday, I tried removing tex-common to make clean install, that screw things up, producing this bug report

the output stored in /tmp/updmap.FI4V6Tzq related with the failure of updmap-sys indicated that a file named "lucida.map" could not been found. I was able to remove that dependency and get the install to work. So the problem, has been resolved.
