Bug Description

Terminator is my favorite terminal emulator, but there is one feature my aging eyes would appreciate: CTRL-Scroll-Zoom.

This feature would allow you to adjust the visible size of fonts by simply holding down the CTRL key and scrolling your mouse-wheel.

This feature is common in a lot of applications such as text editors and web browsers, but I've only seen it once in a terminal emulator, see:

       ConEMU for windows: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ConEmu

I would love to enjoy this feature on my linux desktops and specifically in Terminator.

Maybe so, good timing! It's going to be a great feature.

I can't seem to find anything in Linux that offers it:

Will this update come via Ubuntu 14.04 Software updater soon?

Unlikely. LTS (even non-LTS) releases don't typically upgrade packages, apart from cherry picked security and serous bug fixes. Terminator is long overdue a new release, but finding time to work on it is tough at the moment

Alternatively, you could set up your apt sources to include the nightly builds. I use them, so they're pretty reliable.

see the bit abount Installation for Ubuntu. It describes how to activate the nightlies.

Yes! I've installed the nightly, and I love it. CTRL-Scroll resizing works great.

Hello,

Is there a way to disable this "Bugfix"? I think it's a feature, and any feature should have a way to be enabled and disabled.

It's the only thing preventing me from adopting Terminator right now (Multipoint touchpad here...).

Awesome job on this program.
Doodloo.
