Maximizing terminator does not actually maximize it

Bug Description

When maximizing the terminator window in KDE the window at a first glance maximizes. But in reality is does not. A small "empty" space is left at the top and left. So when I click at the topmost row of pixisto unmaximize the window I end up activating the application beneith.

I have been snapping to left then dragging the right side to fill screen to get around this.
