Gtalk Contact's Messages Show Up In Multiple Instances

One of my Gtalk contacts' messages show up 3 times in the message indicator. Opening the message indicator and pressing clear both don't work to remove the notifications. Clicking them takes me to the chat window but they don't go away in the indicator. This may have something to do with Google's multiple readings of contacts thanks to G+ contacts being in circles. They sometimes are listed multiple times in the Contact List.

As a side note, if the chat window isn't focused when they send messages, they add to the list in the message indicator.

i guess its a telepathy indicator bug. not the empathy.so moving it to there and please attach the screenshot of the bug.
