Bug Description

Binary package hint: telepathy-butterfly

Reporting this as a new bug as advised in bug 489647.

Whenever my friend connects to MSN via his MSN Messenger for Mac Client (version 8.0.0 (100305) beta). He does not show up in my available contacts list.

Other clients appear fine (including Adium).

Nothing appears in the empathy logs.

In the butterfly log, when he connects, the following appears:

papyon/papyon.transport-DEBUG: 28/06/10 11:30:31.287648: <<< NLN NLN <email address hidden> 1 James 1085280304 2789003324%3a402822192

I have a somewhat similar problem. For me (Empathy 3.2.0 - Ubuntu 11.10, but it's been like this for a long time) the Messenger for Mac-users appears to be online, and they can talk to me without any problems, but they don't get my messages. When they send me a message, I can respond, and it appears to me as if the message was sent. However, they don't get anything at all.
