Bug Description

I was installing tcpquota with Synaptic, and attempting to configure it. I did not know my IP address, so I just hit enter, and for localhost I just put "localhost." I may have configured it wrong. I saw a line about the root user not being permitted.
Then I got the problem message. Synaptic is not closed yet. I will have to restart to continue.
I am using Ubuntu 12.04. Since I was installing it it must be the latest version.
I expected the install to complete, and then it repeated the same questions at the same time the package crash message came on screen.
