tcpwrapper parses comments (cannot handle colon ':')

Bug Description
I have noticed that tcpwrapper parses /etc/hosts.allow incorrectly. It parses comments although it should just ignore them.
Tcpwrapper cannot handle lines the one blow:
sshd: 192.168.1.1 # ESSID: Wireless network
It gives an error, because it reads the colon (':') in the comment.
