Bug Description

The preferences dialog neither adjusts its size depending on the size of the window content, nor is it manually resizable. This means that whenever the dialog content exceeds the hard-set window size (eg. due to different system font choice or text-scaling), the content is cropped and inaccessible.

On high-dpi screens, gtk3 interfaces scale completely in all all elements, where as gtk2 interfaces scale in font size (and all elements that are sized relative to the font size).
See the dconf global scaling factor: org.gnome.desktop.interface/scaling-factor=2.0
which (for gtk2 applications) multiplies the font size.
