Bug Description
Full Bash History after fresh Ubuntu 18 install:
$ sudo apt install tasksel
$ sudo tasksel install ubuntu-mate-core
$ sudo service lightdm start
facing the problem that lightdm isn't starting at all.
Things I've tried:
* sudo dpkg-reconfigure lightdm
- no changes
* journalctl -u lightdm.service
- outputting:
systemd[1]: lightdm.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE
systemd[1]: lightdm.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.
systemd[1]: lightdm.service: Service hold-off time over, scheduling restart.
systemd[1]: lightdm.service: Scheduled restart job, restart counter is at 1.
systemd[1]: Stopped Light Display Manager.
systemd[1]: Starting Light Display Manager...
lightdm[24112]: Seat type 'xlocal' is deprecated, use 'type=local' instead
systemd[1]: Started Light Display Manager.
lightdm[24112]: Error: can't open /lib/modules/
* sudo apt --fix-broken install
Hopefully we can fix that problem somehow
