Bug Description
I am trying to get a verbose bootlog in kubuntu which contains all the information that I see during booting. Until yet I had no success.
The following has been done so far:
- activate bootlogd in sysvconfig
- set VERBOSE=Yes in /etc/default/rcS
- set BOOTLOGD_ENABLE=Yes in /etc/default/
But the only log I get is:

Same behaviour here. Further examination of initscripts. postinst reveals to me that /etc/init. d/bootlogd is not activated anywhere. Why is that? I could not find any appropriate in changelog.Debian.
