Bug Description
Binary package hint: sysvinit
With Lucid, I get a blinking cursor (console mode, on the top left) for most of the boot time. The logo is then only visible for 2 or 3 seconds. With Karmic I had the logo much earlier.
It's just a visual problem but it doesn't look great, and some user could wonder if the computer actually works during the time the blinking cursor is showing.
It's a MacBook Pro 5.5 with an nvidia chipset, see dmesg attached.
