Bug Description
Binary package hint: sysvinit
This problem occured yesterday, after I did some updates on initscritps, sysvinit-utils, sysv-rc in synaptic package manager.
After boot up, there are messages like:
init: upstart-udev-bridge main process ended, respawning
init: udev main process ended, respawning
init: rsyslog main process ended, respawning
init: acpid main process ended, respawning
init: atd main process ended, respawning
init: cron main process ended, respawning
init: Disconnected from dbus
I had to ctrl+alt+f1 to get a working terminal. I can login from then, and startx, and if I'm lucky sometimes, I can get working network by:
sudo /etc/init.
sudo /etc/init.
