cd /etc/rcS.d
ln -s ../network/if-up.d/mountnfs S41mountnfs

This is the first ubuntu installation I've done and this bug has taken me by suprise.
you know, mounting nfs from fstab is an old classic in the linux world.
Then again, I am doing this with the desktop edition. Perhaps I should be using the server edition?
By the way, what's the difference between the two?
