Bug Description

Binary package hint: netbase

This is only a problem if you use insserv to manage your init scripts. /etc/init.d/bootlogs.sh has gdm in Required-Start, so insserv complains when gdm isn't installed.

Oops, I chose the wrong package. This doesn't affect netbase.

affects: netbase (Ubuntu) → sysvinit (Ubuntu)

I think the proper fix is to move gdm from Required-Start to Should-Start

Current versions of Ubuntu do not ship /etc/init.d/bootlogs.sh at all, so this bug no longer applies.

Changed in sysvinit (Ubuntu):
