Missing /var/log/dmesg causes chown/chmod errors on boot

Bug Description

Binary package hint: sysvinit

If /var/log/dmesg does not exist when bootmisc.sh is run, the savelog command causes chown/chmod errors to be displayed. This can be easily fixed by checking if the /var/log/dmesg file exists before rotating it. A patch that does exactly that is attached.
