The error in your logs is:
Setting up initscripts (2.88dsf- 59.3ubuntu2) ... content' missing LSB tags and overrides
[...]
insserv: warning: script 'K02delllctservice' missing LSB tags and overrides

This shows that you have init scripts on your system, /etc/init. d/delllctservic econtent and /etc/init. d/delllctservic e, which do not originate with Ubuntu and do not contain proper LSB headers, making it impossible to transition your system to dependency-based boot.
Please attach the two files /etc/init. d/delllctservic econtent and /etc/init. d/delllctservic e to this bug report, and also show the output of the command 'dpkg -S /etc/init. d/delllctservic e'.
