text cursor is moved to start of line even if in login prompt

Bug Description

Steps to reproduce:
1. Have Ubuntu 20.04 LTS installed
2. Switch to text tty with <Ctrl>+<Alt>+<F1>
3. Enter login, press <Enter>

Expected results:
* after pressing <Enter> the cursor is located next to ":" in "Password:"

Actual results:
* after pressing <Enter> the cursor is moved in the beginning of the line with "Password:"
* in some case the cursor is located at the first symbol of hostname like in the attached screenshot
