Hi Martin,

This also affects 14.04 (Trusty). Can you also SRU it in Trusty?

If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision.

Could you please verify this bug report such that current systemd can be released, and a new upload can happen?

I verified that brightness control keeps on working on my local machines (Lenovo x220 and x250). I do not have the HW in the bug title available for testing purposes.

Hi all.

To verify this bug. Please.

1. Install Trusty (14.04).
2. Enable trusty-proposed.
3. apt-get update; apt-get upgrade.
4. apt-cache policy systemd. Make sure the version installed is 204-5ubuntu20.21
5. Reboot.
6. See if hotkey works.

Thanks a lot.

This is a simple string change in the rules database and is already present in 16.04. I am not blocking the release of the SRU for verification of this change. If there are any further problems upon testing, please reopen.

Verified. It works on HP ProBook. With 3.19 kernel at least. 3.13 kernel doesn't support the backlight of this machine.
