This bug is ver critical. It must be fixed, before the final release.

Please have a look at /usr/share/doc/systemd/README.Debian and boot with a debug shell. Please wait until it hangs, then run

  systemctl list-jobs > /root/jobs.txt
  journalctl -b > /root/journal.txt

and then attach the two files here. Thanks!

I installed Mint 17. Now, after booting with systemd, "Starting version 219" appear for few seconds then I can login in terminal only.

Sorry, I think jobs.txt, wouldn't have been small, if I could have produced the error completely.

jobs.txt shows that there are no outstanding jobs, and journal.txt shows that the boot went all the way through. However, it seems you don't have any display manager installed/configured? Do you known which one should be running? lightdm/gdm/sddm etc.?

Please give me the output of

  systemctl status display-manager
  cat /etc/X11/default-display-manager

I installed Kubuntu 15.04 Beta 2 64 bi. The first time I boot. It took lots of time, so I canceled it without waiting. All other times I can boot well with systemd.

In my previous installation, I didn't change the display manager, but this installation is different. Would it still be useful?

Sherif, anything which actually explains what this bug report is about is useful. Right now it's not actionable at all, I'm afraid. If you have an installation which fails to start a display manager, I need the information from comment #10.

I'm closing this for now as there is nothing actionable here. Presumably this got fixed in https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sddm/0.11.0-0ubuntu9 or a similar fix.
