Bug Description
systemd-timedated complain about /etc/localtime not being a symbolic link. From syslog:
systemd-
As Ubuntu (and Debian) uses a copy of /usr/share/
https:/
“[…] In Debian releases Etch and later, /etc/localtime is a copy of the original data file. […]”
And also what is done per configuration by dpkg-reconfigure tzdata, the message is unnecessary at best.
The man page is also adding to the confusion by, ref:
http://
“Because the timezone identifier is extracted from the symlink target
name of /etc/localtime, this file may not be a normal file or hardlink.”
