Binary package hint: system-tools-backends

While trying to install spamassasin with the add/remove application on ubuntu 8.10:

Errors while processing: system-tools-backends

Error message appeared saying that some parts could not be installed.
A notification bubble in the top right said an application had crashed on my desktop.
