Doesn't prompt when Windows password is changed

I have a shared Windows printer which requires authentication by my AD account. These credentials are changed periodically in accordance with the security policy. This creates a problem when I try to print after changing my password. The print job is just submitted and continuously tried pushed through and finally end up disabling my AD account.
Shouldn't I be prompted for a new valid password?
