Bug Description
Upgraded from 13.04 64-bit to 13.10 64-bit using the software updater dialog. All updates installed as of: 12/28/2013. "Logical Volume Management" AKA system-config-lvm (installed through Ubuntu Software Center) will not open. When clicking the icon in the launcher it flashes for a few seconds then stops and does nothing. Critical, I am unable to perform maintenance on my LVM volume without this. I do not see any GUI alternatives listed in the software center.

I get this as well, when I try to run from a terminal (in a vnc session) I get:
invoke-rc.d: unknown initscript, /etc/init.d/lvm2 not found
