2012-12-18 18:26:19 Removed by request description I'm using Ubuntu 13.04 dev with sysklogd 1.5-6.2ubuntu1. sysklogd tries to change the permissions of some files with chown for example /var/log/syslog. But if such a file is missing an eror on booting is shown. I think sysklogd should first try to create the missing directories and files if they are missing and then change the permissions of them.
