Bug Description

Binary package hint: synergy

Using synergys 1.3.1, protocol version 1.3 on Ubuntu 8.04 (AMD 64). Client is running Arch Linux, but is also using synergyc 1.3.1.

I set up the Ubuntu machine as a server and start the client and the synergys immediately exits. A backtrace was not much help because I have no symbols but hopefully the assert message will give a clue as to what the problem might be?

(gdb) run -f -c ~/.quicksynergy/synergy.conf
Starting program: /usr/bin/synergys -f -c ~/.quicksynergy/synergy.conf

I get this error too, and have been getting it since I upgraded from 7.10 to 8.04.
Disabling glipper seems to bypass it, but doing without glipper when using synergy is quite painful.
