Bug Description

Binary package hint: synergy

Whenever I run synergyc -f ... the repeat function of the original keyboard gets switched off. the server keyboard repeats as usual.
I can reenable the keyrepeat by going into System > Preferences > Keyboard and unchecking/checking the "Key presses repeat when key is held down" (the ckeckbox doesn't correspond to actual state after start of synergyc) but the repeat is off as soon as I switch the synergy "focus" to server and then back to client.

this is on ubuntu 7.10, synergy 1.3.1-2ubuntu2.

I can confirm this bug.

I have a Dell Vostro 1000 (client) hooked up to an IBM NetVista PC (Server). when synergy is in use, the Dell laptop keyboard "repeat key" becomes non functional.

Sorry - I should include some additional details. Both computers are running the up to date versions of Hardy. Let me know if any further information is required.

Synergyc seems to do this in debian systems as well. I run debian lenny (also etch when it was testing) and synergyc has done this as long as I can remember.

An easier work-around: run "xset b" .

still exists in 10.10 alpha-2
comp1 as host
comp2 as user

if using user keyb then nothing repeats.

For me it is "xset r on" and not "xset b" (bell)
