sync-ui doesn't trasmit correct timezone info to funambol server

Binary package hint: syncevolution

I have a my.funambol.com account, I use it in order to sync my evolution with my smartphone.

I'm using timezone GMT+1 (Rome).

The funambol account is set with this timezone too.

If I enter a new appointment in evolution, when sync-ui syncronizes the calendar with funambol, on the funambol server the appointment is recorded with GMT+2

For example: in evolution I set an appointment at 9.00pm. On the funambol server I find it's at 10 p.m.

Apparently, sync-ui transmit the time information without specifying it's in GMT+1 timezone.

I am hit by the same problem. (I do not use sync-ui, but syncevolution directly from command line.

Interestingly, entering a calendar event on my phone (synced with myFunambol.com) or via webinterface on my.funambol.com is sync'ed to evolution correctly.

Weird is that syncevolution logs (both on command line and $HOME/.cache/syncevolution/...) show correct times. But the display in Evolution calendar is wrong.

I will attach the logs from syncevolution testing both directions. Is it syncevolution or Evolution bug?

I should have noted: Ubuntu 9.10 amd64, local time zone Europe/Prague set both in myFunambol portal and my desktop computer.
The logs from myFunambol portal show time zone Zurich - however, it is GMT+1 as Prague is.

I new to ubuntu world and I'm affected by the same problem. I send appointments from evolution to funambol with specified buenos aires (utc-3) location, and on my.funambol.com its appearance by -3 hours difference (utc-6 like).
in the reverse order there is no problem.
