Synaptic help is out of date--doesn't reflect new Ubuntu icon

The help for synaptic is out of date. Synaptic now has a nice Ubuntu icon for
packages in main, but the help documents don't show it. For example, Help->Icon
Legend should explain the Ubuntu icon, and Section 2 of the Help document shows
the old version, without the new icon field.

This bug is partly fixed with the upload of 0.53.4-1ubuntu4. The icon is
described in the "Help/Icon legend"
panel. I leave the bug open to reflect the fact that it's not in the XML manual yet.

The screenshots in help still haven't been updated in Dapper.

To be honest I think that the screenshots are the smallest problem of the documentation :) I haven't found the time to update the documentation for years.

You could make the screenshots, pngcrush them and attach them to this bug report.

I looked at Section 2 of the synaptic help to see the screenshots are out of date. I am interested in updating the help. Could you point me where and how to start?
I use Gutsy, synaptic 0.6ubuntu5.

You just need to take screenshots like in the old documentation, but with the new icons.
You must save them as png images.

You must then run them through the pngcrush program.
