Package descritption is messed up on AMD64

The description of the packages are messed up. Take a look at the screenshot.
This error does not appear with the latest version 0.53.4 of synaptic.

Here is a patch for the latest upstream version of synaptic (currently 0.53.4)
that moves the menu entry to the capplets menu.

synaptic (0.53.4-1ubuntu4) warty; urgency=low

  * various fixes:
    - #1807, #2004: work around a libglade problem that can
                    cause a infinite loop in libglade
    - #1817: patial fixed the help by adding the supported icon
             to the icon-legend panel
    - #1441: fixed by moving to 0.53.4
  * sorting the "supported" column is possible now
