synapic complains about settings file but isnt proactive

Bug Description

Binary package hint: synaptic

i added an invalid apt source, and then the synapic package program refused to run and only complains about line 54(i think) i had to sudo to fix it. how about a "ignore" button to make it easier for users, so i can remove the offensive line in the synapic program? Charlie
