Binary package hint: synaptic
Natty testing (i386 updated)
for my needs i've locked a package to a previous release. When i use either synaptic or update-manager and update, its ok they dont propose to update that locked package.
But in a terminal, if i run:
sudo apt-get install -f : it says 1 package non installed
sudo apt-get upgrade : the package is proposed for upgrading
So different upgrading tools give different results, confusing. Dont know which package to blame.
I think that these tools might clearly return the situation: do you want to upgrade the locked package.
ProblemType: Bug

So different upgrading tools give different results, confusing. In this case the problem is minor as i've only 1 recent locked package and i remind about it, but otherwise ... Dont know which package to blame.
