Bug Description

Binary package hint: synaptic

Clean install of 10.10 initial gold code release.
Synaptic 0.63.1ubuntu14

On an eeePC 1000HE, immediately after installing 10.10, I changed the default fonts using System->Preferences->Appearance to 7 point fonts. The fonts in Synaptic appeared to change to 7 point font as well which was expected.

I then proceeded to change the default settings in Synaptic. (display package info in main window setting).

When I applied the settings, the fonts in Synaptic reverted to the default 11 point+ fonts from the installation.

The font size should not change at this point.

Relaunching Synaptic resets the fonts to the newly set 7 point font.

The same problem can be seen in Kubuntu 10.10:

- change the font to Déjà Vu Sans and a size of 10
- save => everything ok
- Settings - System Settings - Login Screen - Theme - Get New Themes - Installed
- exit without saving anything and your font is reset immediately to Ubuntu 9
