Bug Description
Binary package hint: synaptic
when searching for packet names with synaptics, those search queries are listed on the "search result" tab.
But it seems that the actual search results are only remembered for the last search done. The other search queries are listed, but when clicked they do not show up any results. (you have to perform the search again to see the results)
Steps to reproduce:
- Open synaptics (with root user)
- Press Ctrl-F and search for some packet name (i.e. synaptics)
- Press Ctrl-F again and search for some other packet name (i.e. ubuntu)
- In the query list, click on the entry for "synaptics", then the packet list will empty (instead, it should show results for that search query). Selecting "ubuntu" again will show the results for the "ubuntu" query.
- Now press Ctrl-F again to perform a third search (i.e. gnome).
Then the "synaptics" (anyway useless) list item in the query list is replaced by "gnome". Instead it should create a new list item for the "gnome" query. Also note that selecting now the "ubuntu" list item will empty the results list again (instead, it should display search results for "ubuntu").
Thanks for your bugreport.
What version do you use? The latest version (0.57.11ubuntu12) should fix this problem.
Thanks,
Michael
