Bug Description
Binary package hint: synaptic
I've compiled my own build of Amarok (to supoprt my MP3 player) and installed it using checkinstall.
Using AMD64 build of Edgy Beta.
I wanted to lock the version in Synaptic to prevent my build being overwritten by official updates.
Here's what I did...
1. I ran synaptic, using "sudo synaptic" in a console window.
2. Clicked the Search button on the toolbar.
3. In the Find window, I typed "amarok". "Look in" was already set to "Name".
4. Clicked Search. Three packages found: amarok, amarok-engines and amarok-xine.
Of these packages, only amarok is installed. The Installed Version is shown as 1.4.3-1. and the Latest Version is 2:1.4.3-0ubuntu9
5. Clicked on the amarok package.
6. Clicked on Lock Version in the Package menu.
7. Synaptic crashed - the window disappeared. The following error messages are shown in the console window:
(synaptic:12342): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_tree_
(synaptic:12342): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_tree_model_get: assertion `GTK_IS_TREE_MODEL (tree_model)' failed
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
I get the same crash when I try to lock any package, not just amarok.
