Bug Description
Binary package hint: synaptic
How to reproduce:
Launch synaptic package manager
Click "Supported by Canonical" column as you would want to sort packages by it.
What happens:
Synaptic stops responding, possibly locked in infinite loop somewhere (sort function?)

I found out that when I wait like 1 minute it starts responding again. It seems that the sorting function is very very very slow. Sorting _all_ packages by name takes like 1 second, but sorting by "Supported by Canonical" takes 1 minute ... one would say that sorting by name must be much slower than sorting by some kind of boolean value. Something really wrong with that sort function.
