Bug Description
Binary package hint: yelp
Hello All,
So I tried to upgrade from Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10 but when I did the computer froze, I tried restarting but it started freezing before the login screen. I figured that it was my fault so I tried a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.10 (I'm using 64 bit I should mention), but I ran into a similar problem which made me suspect that it was not a bad upgrade but a compatibility issue. After the fresh install Ubuntu would boot fine the first time but freeze before the login screen every time I try to boot after that. To be sure I checked the integrity of the install CD but it was fine and was burned at x4 speed. One last thing, if I choose the log in automatically option on the install I get the following error message at the login screen:
Sudo Passwd Root Could Not Update ICEauthority File /Home/Cheph/
and
Their is a problem with The Configuration server /usr/lib/
I will check post often so if you need any information about my computer or need me to do anything plz post and I return promptly.
